Abu Turab

Wikipedia: Abu Turab

Abu Turab (Arabic: أبو تراب‎) or Father of Soil, is a title attributed to Ali ibn Abi Talib, the first Shia Imam and fourth Sunni Caliph. According to narrations the title was given to Ali by Muhammad, when he found Ali sleeping while covered with soil.

Abu Turab means "Father of the Dust". He received this name because of his lengthy Sujoods (placing of the forehead on the ground in prayer).
