Biography

One of two bands featuring Norwegian guitarist/bassist Endre Begby (the other being doom/death group Carpathian Full Moon), Abysmal was a short-lived project also including Jan Svendsen (guitars and vocals) and P.L. Halvordsen (drums). Specializing in your run-of-the-mill black metal spiced with Viking mythology, Abysmal recorded a single respectable but unoriginal album, 1994's Pillorian Age, before vanishing from the face of the earth. ~ Ed Rivadavia, All Music Guide
