Biography

Coming out of the Seattle area, this psychedelic group emerged out of a band called the Night People. That group included Reginald Shannon, Gary Hill, and Laurie Vitt. After various personnel changes, the name of the band became Frantics, but in a dispute with a disgruntled former member, they chose a name that reflected one of their more recent recruits, becoming Ron Peterson and the Accents. After Peterson left the band, they became just the Accents. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
