Access Television Network aims to make sure there's always something on TV. The company distributes infomercials and other paid programming through about 300 cable television systems, which cover about 35 million subscribing households. Access Television Network's around-the-clock digital satellite feeds are generally used during off-hours, when no regular programming is scheduled. By packaging time from multiple cable systems, the company is able to offer advertisers -- who would otherwise deal with cable operators individually -- a more efficient way to buy time. Cable operators, in turn, realize revenue from time that might otherwise not be used. Access Television Network was founded in 1993.

Access Television Network (ATN) is a company based in Irvine, California which distributes infomercials and other paid programming through about 300 cable television systems airing in more than 35 million households. ATN's around-the-clock digital satellite feeds are generally broadcast by cable systems on existing channels during the early morning hours when no regular programming is scheduled. In late 2002, ATN expanded with the purchase of Product Information Network, a similar 24-hour cable advertising network. Founded by William Bernard in 1993, the company is owned by venture capital firm Spectrum Equity Investors and the Hearst Family Fund.[1]
