Account Balance Plan

Plan that takes the form of a supplemental executive retirement plan. Under this plan, the executive’s employer contributes to the executive’s account on a performance-tied basis. For example, if the stock price of the company rises at least 20% in a given year, the employer’s contribution would be 20% of the executive’s salary.
