Trademark for reagent tablets containing sodium nitroprusside, aminoacetic acid, disodium phosphate and lactose. A drop of urine is placed on a tablet on a sheet of white paper; if significant quantities of acetone are present the tablet changes from a purple tint (1+), to lavender (2+), to moderate purple (3+) or to deep purple (4+). Extensively used for field testing of cows for acetonemia and ewes and cows for pregnancy toxemia.
