In August 2010, CEO (Managing Director) Thomas Minninger reported the airline was the first operator in Germany obtain authorization to operate the Dassault Falcon 7X commercially. There were also several other factors that he mentioned in choosing this aircraft:

  • Range of 11,000 kilometers (6,800 mi)
  • 15-seat cabin (can be converted into 5 beds for night travel)
  • Destinations such as Los Angeles, Shanghai and Johannesburg can be reached non-stop.
  • Takes off from short runways.
  • Three engines (It "gives a kind of additional feeling of safety and reassurance.")[2]
