Acquired perforating dermatosis (also known as "Acquired perforating collagenosis") is clinically and histopathologically similar to perforating folliculitis, also associated with chronic renal failure, with or without hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis, and/or diabetes, but not identical to Kyrle disease.[1][2]:1462
