Plot

Action! is a 90-minute amalgam of choice clips from popular action films, peppered with interviews of the actors and filmmakers involved. Among the blockbusters represented herein are The French Connection, 48 Hours, Alien, Die Hard, Independence Day, Speed, and the "Indiana Jones" trilogy. Interviewees include Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sigourney Weaver, Keanu Reeves, Harrison Ford, and Jackie Chan, while topics of conversation include the "politics" of the ratings system and the copycat mentality of many Tinseltown action-flick producers. Narrated by actor Michael Madsen, Action! was unveiled on New Years' Day 2003 by the AMC cable service. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
