Action

A poker game or hand that has many players staying active. Games with high action often involve players who are betting large amounts of money into the pot.

SoundPoker Says: Action is usually created when many players are willing to bet, which makes for a very large and lucrative pot. Depending on the outcome, a lot of action in one hand could make or break a player's chip stack. Loose and aggressive players tend to create a lot of action, especially if there are many at the same table.

Action can also pertain to when it is a player's turn to bet, check, or raise.
