The comedy is about two couples who meet the unsuccessful party. It is revealed that all four are self-satisfied, and their and have stereotypical marriages. They get drunk, swap partners and exchange keys to their flats seeing new joy from this complicated melange. A rich aunt comes from Switzerland, and after an awkward lunch with in-laws, a cuckolded husband arrives to punish the infidelity of his wife, as well as the wife of an influential official who comes to save what she sees as her daughter's slumming. The plot gets complicated with many misunderstanding, and it can be regarded as a farce. But the essential desire of everyone is to set all things to right again with their rightful partners. Order is restored happily, even if everyone did not get what they wanted.
