Adam Ant is a British New Wave artist. He was the lead singer of Adam & the Ants, until their split in 1981. Ant, however, would go solo, and record an additional five studio albums throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.
His greatest chart success was 1982's Friend or Foe album, which included the hit single "Goody Two Shoes" which became a Number One single on the UK Singles Chart, as well as a Top 20 single on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.

'1' 'Cartrouble' the single is a re-recorded edited version (essentially Part 2), of the song 'Cartrouble - Parts 1 & 2' which featured on 'Dirk Wears White Sox'. The personnel was also different and featured new band member Marco Pirroni and session drummer and future Culture Club drummer Jon Moss.
'2' The single 'Goody Two Shoes' was credited to Adam and the Ants but was effectively a solo Adam Ant release (with Marco Pirroni as co-song writer and guitarist and 'Merrick' Hughes as drummer and producer). The album version of the song is a different mix to the single, which was releases months before the album and not long after 'Adam and the Ants' the band had split up. This may explain the reason for the different credits. The massive popularity of Adam and the Ants would also have made the single a much bigger attraction to fans, which was vindicated with the song making it to the top of the UK charts.
