A Young Man's World, or Kevin Clarke's A Young Man's World, is an XXX-rated 2000 gay pornographic movie, written and directed by Kevin Clarke,^[1] produced and photographed by Barry Knight and Russell Moore of Delta Productions, distributed by Paladin Video, and starring Joe Landon and Ashton Ryan.^[2] Its duration is two hours; its date of production was July 22, 2000 and the video was shot in high definition.^[2][3]

Synopsis

Five middle-aged men — Ron Aron, Kevin Clarke, Barry Knight, Russell Moore, and Derrick Stanton in their, respectively, non-sexual roles — celebrate the 50th birthday of Barry Knight in "a spectacular home", reflect on what they did when they were 18 (or younger), and fantasize scenes of young men together.^[1][4]

Reception

The TLA Video website rated this porn three-and-a-half out of four stars. Reeves wrote the Synopsis; Maxxwell wrote the Review. Keeneye Reeves from that website called it "a must for lovers of young lust." T.J. Maxxwell from that similar website called this work "some mighty fine porn that deserves a looky-look" and then wrote, "With a stunning collection of young men, stellar camera angles, and lots of hot action, A Young Man’s World is sure to produce a whole new crop of chicken hawks."^[5]

Giacomo Tramontagna from The Guide magazine rated this movie two stars, depicted it as "the juxtaposition of five middle-aged guests with five young guys in swimsuits" and a "problematic tribute to the joys of youth", found the fictional middle-aged male characters demeaning to real-life middle-aged men, and considered this movie suitable for either "narcissistic airhead brats who hate older men or youth-obsessed older men who hate themselves". He found the setups of sex scenes "inconsistent and sometimes disorienting", but he picked scenes between Ashton Ryan and Jace Hughes as "the best of five erotic sequences" and "sincere, spontaneous, lively, [and] passionate".^[6]

A reviewer from the Ambush Mag website praised performances, the music score, and sex scenes and promised that "you're just gonna love the entire movie".^[1] Bo Champion from ManNet.com praised sex scenes as mandatory to the video and wrote, "while the plot is interesting, the execution is at times too cute and sometimes confusing and, in the end, a bit disconcerting to some of us who are graciously considered Baby Boomers."^[4] A reviewer from FriskyFans.org rated this video four out of five stars and wrote, "A Young Man's World fulfills anyone's desire to see the finest of the finest young men."^[3]
