Adams (formerly, Adams Springs) is an unincorporated community in Lake County, California.[1] It is located 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Whispering Pines,[2] at an elevation of 2815 feet (858 m).[1]
A post office operated at Adams from 1908 to 1960.[2] The name honors Charles Adams, who bought the site in 1869.[2] By 1910, a resort at Adams could accommodate 400 people, and a new hotel was constructed in 1927.[2]
