(computer science) A printed circuit board that is plugged into an expansion slot in a computer to communicate with an external peripheral device.
(genetics) Any of the short synthetic oligonucleotide strands that have one sticky end and one blunt end; the blunt end joins to the blunt end of a deoxyribonucleic acid fragment, forming a new fragment with two sticky ends that can be more easily spliced into a vector.
