Adelle Lutz (born 13 November 1948 in New York City, NY, USA) is a costume designer,[1] model and actress.[2]
Lutz is a daughter of a Japanese mother, Mona Lutz and a German father, Walter E. Lutz. She was the wife of David Byrne, but divorced in 2004 with a daughter, Malu Valentine (born in 1989).[3][4] She is the sister of model Tina Chow.[5]
Lutz was cast as one of the Deetz's dinner party guests in Tim Burton's 1988 film Beetlejuice. She had a small and unseen cameo in Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs as a news reporter on TV. She portrayed Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Aung San Suu Kyi, in John Boorman's film Beyond Rangoon in 1995.[6]
She also has had roles in Wim Wenders' Until the End of the World, as the main character's best, Oliver Stone's Wall Street and Something Wild. She also played Mari in the 1994 independent drama film Dead Funny.
