Adieu l’ami (Farewell friend) is a 1968 French-Italian film directed by Jean Herman; producer Serge Silberman, screenplay by Sebastien Japrisot. The film was released in the United States in 1973 under the title "Honor Among Thieves", that version of which is available on dvd from Lionsgate.
Dino Barran, a doctor legionnaire, must help the wife of a man he accidentally killed. He lets himself be locked in a vault to successfully open a safe and put in their place of incriminating documents. Not knowing the combination, an entire weekend is required. He decided to team up with Franz Propp, a legionnaire who has scores to settle with him.
