Adler, Elmer (ăd'lər), 1884-1962, American bibliophile and printer, b. Rochester, N.Y. From 1930 to 1940 he published The Colophon, a highly regarded quarterly of bibliographic research and information for book collectors; it was produced with fine printing. Adler became curator of the graphic arts department of Princeton in 1940, retiring in 1952.
