Adobe OnLocation (formerly Serious Magic DV Rack) is a direct-to-disk recording and monitoring software. It supports adding metadata to recorded content.
It was originally developed by Serious Magic, Inc in September 2004, which was acquired by Adobe Systems in 2006. Adobe OnLocation is not available as a standalone product and can only be obtained with the purchase of Adobe Premiere Pro CS5, Adobe Production Premium CS5, or Adobe Master Collection CS5. Starting with version CS4, OnLocation is available for both Windows and Intel-based Macintosh Computers running Mac OSX; previous versions ran on Windows only.
Adobe stated on April 23, 2012 that OnLocation was discontinued and encouraged users to migrate to the Adobe Prelude application.
