a bay on the east coast of Bruny Island, Tasmania. It was sighted by Abel Tasman in 1642, and was visited by a number of early explorers, including Tobias Furneaux (1773), James Cook (1777), and Bruny d'Entrecasteaux (1792). It takes its name from Furneaux's ship, the Adventure.
