Vocalist Susan Hamilton and keyboardist Francie Holdsworth-Hill first became friends during the time they were members of a band called Mantra. In 1982, the two started a duo of their own. After going through a long list of different band names, Adventures in Paradise turned out to be the one that finally took. In 1984, the duo released an independent debut single, "You'll Never Know." The group was working under the management of Doug Wong at the time. Soon Quality Records noticed the young band. The result was Adventures in Paradise's first full-length album It's Just a Matter of Time, released in 1985. For the team of friends, it wasn't a matter of time and the album turned out to be the last adventure for the duo of Hamilton and Holdsworth-Hill. ~ Charlotte Dillon, Rovi
