Advertising Checking Bureau

Nationwide service organization with corporate headquarters in New York City that issues reports on print advertising as well as advertisements on the Internet and provides tear sheets of advertisements appearing in daily, Sunday, or weekly newspapers published in the United States. The service is provided free of charge to advertisers and their agencies and is paid for by the publications. This service is particularly important in providing proof of performance in compliance with retail cooperative advertising agreements. See also co-op advertising.
