Advertising.com is an online advertising company based in the United States. Established in 1998 as TeknoSurf AdWave by Scott and John Ferber, it was renamed Advertising.com in 2000.[1] It was acquired by AOL on June 24, 2004 for $435 million.[2]
The company came together, as of October 2008, with other technology companies Tacoda, AOL, Buy.at and Quigo under the banner of Platform A.
The network and portal elements of Platform A combined (Advertising.com and AOL) continue to top the online reach tables for display advertising.
