The Aelfgar Rugeley College, also known as The Aelfgar Centre, is the sixth form college of two medium-sized high schools. The centre offers a variety of A-Level and vocational courses, as well as several adult education programmes scheduled between 8am and 10am on weekdays. The Centre is centrally located within the town and facilities include four computer suites, a gymnasium, a computational arts lab, a library and free parking for students, teachers and mobility scooters.
The centre is marked for closure at the start of the school year in 2012. This is due to spending cuts in the Rugeley and Cannock Chase area, that have also laid waste to the police station and post office. The centre will be relocated to the two high schools in Rugeley, where students will continue their education at their high schools.
