Appropriately enough, Pathe's Aerial Acrobatics was released on the same reel as the company's The Bareback Rider. Both films shared a circus background, and both utilized much of the same footage. Surprisingly, though Aerial Acrobatics was advertised as an "actuality" film, the trapeze stunts depicted herein were patently faked, performed only a few feet above solid ground. No matter: The film offered several enticing shots of girls in tights, which was all the audience really wanted. Some reviewers complained that Pathe should not have released the two circus films as separate entities, nor should the company have been permitted to collect an additional rental fee. ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide
