Another weepy Greek tearjerker from director Andreas Katsimitsoulias, this mawkish tale stars Thanos Livaditis as Alexis, a young factory heir who falls in love with one of the employees, pretty Anna (Marianna Kourakou). They get married, but before too long Anna starts suffering from the headaches and dizzy spells characteristic of what certain cynics would later dub "Ali MacGraw's Disease," the all-purpose fatal condition which strikes young newlyweds in such films. Not wanting to be a burden or to put her beloved husband through an agonizing illness, Anna disappears from Alexis' life. Alexis goes to track her down after he finds out the truth, but, alas, it is too late. Mema Stathopoulou, Thanos Livaditis, and Athena Michaelidou co-star. ~ Robert Firsching, All Movie Guide
