Game Description

African Safari is a package of African scenery created for Microsoft Flight Simulator '98. Data Becker has extended its range of add-on packs by recreating three African national parks for you to fly over. Every landmark over 300 meters high has been authentically plotted and recreated, including Table Mountain and the Pyramids. In all, over 25,000 square kilometers are rendered in glorious color, detail, and texture.

Additionally, there are flight maps for 40 African airports with authentic radio frequency charts and navigational aids that perfectly complement the detail in the required Microsoft Flight Simulator 98 program.

Roots & Influences

The original Microsoft Flight Simulator had very basic flight terrain included with it. Several years later, many add-on scenery packs are available for the original and African Safari is one of the first to be available on CD-ROM.
