Review

While the tunes on this disc might be typically heartbreaking, Coughlan's smoky voice was never in better form. Inflected with whimsy, wonder and cynicism, Coughlan wends her way through torch songs and laments of women undone, men unemployed and the world in confusion. These are sad songs, but melancholy has never sounded better. ~ Tim Sheridan, Rovi
