agaropectin
a charged component of agar consisting of a mixture of polysaccharides containing d-galactose, 3,6-anhydro-l-galactose, and monoesterified sulfuric acid units. Samples from some algae may contain other components such as pyruvate, l-arabinose, and d-glucuronate units.
