The Agatsuma Line (吾妻線 Agatsuma-sen) is a local rail line in Gunma, Japan, and is part of the East Japan Railway Company (JR East) network. Roughly following the Agatsuma River, it runs 55.6 km between Shibukawa and Ōmae stations.
Although the official start of the line is at Shibukawa, all trains run through on the Jōetsu Line to/from Takasaki.

The Agatsuma Line was opened in 1945 and ran from Shibukawa to Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi. The line was extended to Ōmae in 1971. The newest station, Onogami-Onsen, was opened in 1992.
The Yanba Dam was expected to cause part of the line between Iwashima and Kawarayu-Onsen stations to become submerged. The dam project was ultimately cancelled, but the new section of railway line and roads under construction may be completed to serve the onsen hot spring resorts in the area and increase road and rail capacity. However, with the dam's future in question, what will happen with the line is unclear.
The Agatsuma Line is noted for numerous onsen hot springs along the route. The famous hot springs at Kusatsu are some distance north of the line, but several rural onsen such as those at Shima, Sawatari, Kawarayu, and Shiriyaki are more accessible.
Mount Asama, Mount Kusatsu-Shirane, and the Agatsuma Canyon can all be seen from the Agatsuma Line.
Japan's shortest railroad tunnel, the Tarusawa Tunnel, is on the Agatsuma Line.
