Ageo
Ageo (ä'gāō), city (1990 pop. 194,952), Saitama prefecture, central Honshu, Japan. It was an agricultural center, producing raw silk and sake, until the growth of the metallurgy, machinery, and rubber industries in the 1950s and 60s.
