Poker Guide:

Aggressive

An aggressive style of play is characterized by a lot of betting, raising, check-raising, and re-raising of an opponents bet.

SoundPoker Says: Aggressive play usually occurs when a player has strong pocket cards. They play this way in order to increase the size of the pot as well as to eliminate players who might just limp in with mediocre hands, thus increasing their chances of winning the pot.
