aggressive rehabilitation

Sports Science and Medicine: aggressive rehabilitation

Rehabilitation that encourages the early mobilization of injured athletes. Although complete immobilization may be necessary in the initial stages of an injury, prolonged immobilization can result in loss of muscle strength and chronic joint stiffness. Early mobilization, on the other hand, accelerates recovery by promoting tissue healing. It also helps the injured athlete maintain coordination and sports-related motor skills.
