Agricultural Research Council
(ARC) an organization in the United Kingdom that periodically published reviews and summaries of the nutrient requirements of livestock. Equivalent to the National Research Council (NRC) in the United States. In 1983 it was renamed the Agricultural and Food Research Council and later merged with the Science and Engineering Research Council to become the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC).
