Geography Dictionary: agricultural system

Any method of farming may be seen as part of an agricultural system. ‘Inputs’ include seeds, water, pesticides, herbicides, fertilizer, and livestock which are introduced to the ‘plant’: the buildings, machinery, and land. The ‘output’ is the produce of the farm.
