A leader of the tribe of Naphtali; the son of Enan (Num 1:15-16; 2:29). He was one of the tribal leaders who joined Moses in taking a census of the people, and represented his tribe in the inaugural ceremonies of the tabernacle (Num 7:1, 10-11, 78-83); he was also at the head of his tribe in the march out of the wilderness (Num 10:27-28).
