Mosteghanemi, Ahlem (b. 1953). Algerian poet, born in Algiers, educated in Algiers and in Paris, where in 1980 she gained a doctorate for a thesis published as Algérie, femme et écritures (1985). She then worked at the Centre Arabe de Documentation et d'Information in Paris, broadcasting a daily programme on poetry on Algerian radio, and writing for the newspaper Ech-Chaâb. Her two collections of poems are Au hâvre des jours (1972) and L'Écriture dans un moment de nudité (1976).
