The Ahvaz derby (Persian: شهرآورد اهواز) is a football local derby match between the two rival professional teams of Ahvaz, Iran: Esteghlal Ahvaz F.C. and Foolad F.C..

History
Ahvaz derby goes back to the 1990s, when Esteghlal Ahvaz F.C. and Foolad F.C. faced each other in Azadegan League 1997–98.[1] They did not meet again until October 18, 2002, and the derby became a regular fixture until 2010, apart from one season when they didn't face each other.
