Plot

In order to support himself while living in Japan, the Chinese student Ho Jun works in a slaughterhouse in Tokyo, lives with lots of other poor Chinese students in cheap rooms, and suffers the constantly arrogant and discriminating behavior of the Japanese against himself and other non-Japanese. Ho Jun and his buddies have no qualms about robbing a pachinko parlor, but when the gangster who owns it threatens to have him deported, he is forced to sit down with the man and attempt to come to some sort of arrangement. ~ Clarke Fountain, Rovi
