Aida el Ayoubi (1964-) (عايدة الأيوبي) is an Egyptian singer, songwriter and guitarist. She has a German heritage also. Graduated from the Deutsche Evangelische Oberschule in Cairo in the mid 80's, and gained fame in the early 1990s in Egypt, as well as the Middle East. Aida is a graduate of The American University in Cairo where she did her major studies in Computer Engineering.
She has only done three albums in total and then she quit the singing career and got married. Rumours say that she quit because of her husband who didn't approve of her singing career. She is well known in Egypt and many other Arab countries for her romantic music and her soft voice. She is best known for her hit song "3ala Baly" which appeared on her first album, she released only 3 albums in total. Aida's heartfelt lyrics and beautiful, soothing voice were keys to her success till this day.
