Ain (
/ˈeɪjɪn/; from the Hebrew עין for spring)[1] was a Levite town in the ancient Tribe of Judah territory.[2] It is referenced in the Bible in the Book of Joshua as one of the southernmost cities of the children of Judah, towards the (Dead Sea) coast of Edom, on the border of the Negev between Shilhim and Rimmon (15:32 and 19:7).
