Aindrias Mac Cruitín

Mac Cruitín, Aindrias (?1650-?1738), poet; born to a family of hereditary poets in Moyglass, near Milltown Malbay, Co. Clare, where he was educated and where he spent most of his life, teaching and working as a scribe. His best-known poem, composed in old age, describes the neglect into which his profession has fallen.
