Ainune, title given to a fragment (314 lines) of a Middle High German verse romance written c.1230 or soon after. The principal characters are a King and a Queen (‘Ainune’, i.e. Oenone, whom the king woos). The fragment consists of courtly dialogue. The author is unknown.
