Air Force Space Command
One of the eight major commands of the U.S. Air Force. It is responsible for the operation of space satellites, and it provides missile warning, monitors weather in space, ensures global communication and navigation, and tracks space debris. The Command was established at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1982.
