(engineering) A fault, in the form of an elongated bubble, in glass tubing. Also known as hairline.
(mechanical engineering) A duct, hose, or pipe that supplies compressed air to a pneumatic tool or piece of equipment.
(spectroscopy) Lines in a spectrum due to the excitation of air molecules by spark discharges, and not ordinarily present in arc discharges.
