AirBridgeCargo Airlines, LLC (Russian: ООО «Авиакомпания «ЭйрБриджКарго») is a cargo airline and subsidiary of Volga-Dnepr Airlines with its head office in Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia. It operates scheduled cargo services on routes between Asia, Europe and North America. All the flights are operated via Moscow hubs in Sheremetyevo International Airport and Domodedovo International Airport, both in Greater Moscow.[1]

History

The airline was established in 2003 and started operations on 1 April 2004. It was established by charter freight specialist Volga-Dnepr Group as its scheduled freight arm.[1] April 2004 saw the delivery of one of two Boeing 747-200F freighters being acquired from Alitalia. In May 2004 it started commercial operation on routes from Luxembourg to Beijing and Luxembourg to Shanghai via Moscow and Novosibirsk.The second Boeing 747-200 commenced scheduled services in October 2004. Airbridge Cargo began services to Nagoya and Hong Kong after it got its third Boeing 747F in 2005.[1].

In November 2006 AirBridge Cargo received its own air operator's certificate.[1]

Its head office is in Building 4 of the Krylatsky Hills Business Park in Krylatskoye District, Western Administrative Okrug, Moscow, Russia.[2][3]

Destinations

AirBridgeCargo's present network covers major international markets in Europe, Asia and North America. In Europe, ABC's flights connects Germany (Frankfurt and Hannover), the Netherlands (Amsterdam and Maastricht), Spain (Zaragoza), France (Paris) and Italy (Milan) to Russian hubs in Moscow's Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo airports. ABC also provides services to the Siberian cities of Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk, and offers flights to/from China (Shanghai, Hong Kong and Beijing), Japan (Tokyo) and Korea (Seoul). In April 2011, ABC also launched scheduled flights to Chicago (United States).
