Akademia (or Akadimia) Platonos (Greek: Ακαδημία Πλάτωνος) is a subdivision located 3 km west-northwest of the downtown part of the Greek capital of Athens. The area is named after the Plato's Academy. The area are is densely populated, with people mainly living in eight to ten storey buildings. Major streets bordering this subdivision include Lenorman Avenue to the east, Palamidou Street to the south and Athinon Avenue (GR-8 and GR-8A and E90 westbound. The two main squares are Akademia Platonos and Metaxa. The population is approximately 10,000 to 15,000.

The Plato's Academy was first built in the area. The area saw housing developments in the early part of the 20th century when Athens began to grow as well as an industrial being added, the area after World War II and the Greek Civil War saw taller buildings to be added.

Akademia Platonos has schools, lyceums (middle schools), gymnasia (secondary schools), churches, banks, shops and squares (plateies). The nearest Attiko Metro subway station is to the east.
Akademia Platonos has also given name to a movie screened in Locarno Film Festival 2009. The key topic of this movie was the intercultural tensions in the fast growing country of Greece.
