Akeem Jordan
Akeem Jordan (born August 17, 1985 in Harrisonburg, Virginia) is an American football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. Signed as a free agent, he was placed on the practice squad prior to the 2007 season. He played his college ball at James Madison University, where he was the Atlantic-10 conference Player of the Year in 2006 after posting 140 tackles including 17 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Also that year, he finished 2nd in voting for the Buck Buchanan Award, which is given to the best defensive player in Division I FCS (formerly Division I-AA). In his JMU career he appeared in 50 games (26 starts) and made 299 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He was also a member of the 2004 National Championship team.
