Akeem Jordan

Akeem Jordan (born August 17, 1985 in Harrisonburg, Virginia) is an American football linebacker for the Philadelphia Eagles. Signed as a free agent, he was placed on the practice squad prior to the 2007 season. He played his college ball at James Madison University, where he was the Atlantic-10 conference Player of the Year in 2006 after posting 140 tackles including 17 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 1 fumble recovery. Also that year, he finished 2nd in voting for the Buck Buchanan Award, which is given to the best defensive player in Division I FCS (formerly Division I-AA). In his JMU career he appeared in 50 games (26 starts) and made 299 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He was also a member of the 2004 National Championship team.


High School

Attended Harrisonburg High School in Virginia. In 2001 was named the Virginia Group AA Player of the Year after leading his team to a state title. Named 1st-team all-state in 2002 as a senior linebacker, and 2nd-team as a running back.
