Akumi (飽海郡; -gun) is a district located in Yamagata, Japan.
As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 36,844 and a density of 57.99 persons per km². The total area is 635.31 km².

- On November 1, 2005 the city of Sakata and the towns of Hirata, Matsuyama and Yawata merged to form the new city of Sakata.
