Al-Ahliyya Amman University is located in Amman, Jordan. It is the first private university in Jordan. It was founded in 1990 and is organized with eight faculties. The President of the University is Prof. Dr. Sadeq Hamed. AAU provides the best facilities for the students and staff members to create an innovative, creative learning experience.

Amman University is the first private University to be established in Jordan. It is active in the field of private higher education. AAU is fully accredited by the Jordanian Council of Higher Education, the only accrediting authority in Jordan. AAU enjoys wide Arab and international recognition, and it is an active member of the Association of Arab Universities. AAU Academics

AAU takes every effort to offer academic programmes which meets the needs of local and international market. The training and self learning that the students experience at the university ideally prepare them as graduates to join the work force without any need for further training or orientation, a fact that makes Al-Ahliyya Amman University graduates more competitive. To emphasize this feature, the university continuously initiates new programs of study at the graduate and under graduate levels. Currently AAU offers twenty five under graduate programmes and seven post graduate programmes through eight faculties and their departments listed below:

Deanship of Student Affairs

The Deanship of Student Affairs was established in1990, the year the University was founded. A University cornerstone, the deanship formulates plans, initiates programs, and organizes activities geared towards helping students discover their talents, personal skills and potentials. The Deanship is thus committed to supporting the students in its quest to create an outstanding generation that is productive, disciplined and believing in God, with a sense of belonging to its nation and country, a distinguished and productive generation, believing in its nation’s and country’s eternal values. Hourani Elearning Center

HEC is the latest AAU achievement that showcases the latest educational technologies and acts as the nucleus for delivering premium quality education to the Jordanian community. Ultimately, the eLearning Center of Excellence aspires at turning Al-Ahliyya Amman University into the primary preference for education in Jordan and the Arab world by presenting learners and instructors with state-of-the-art tools and a top-notch academic environment that allows for innovative instruction. The Center is equipped with a state of the art equipment, technologies, and systems; in addition the center focuses on the Human Resource Development at all academic levels in all departments and majors available in the university; facilitating utilization of IT in the learning process; availing the needed support and tools to strengthen the knowledge and skills of all participants in its activities. The center aims at bridging the digital divide between the university community and the Technology in education in general, by using and utilizing such technologies to promote and enhance the education process and delivery of courses.
